Emma from Mdot marketing shares her feedback on what it is like working with the team at Impress for a number of her client video shoots.
We help businesses create change, inspire and educate people with video. We have been creating dental training videos for more than 15 years, increasing the accessibility and attractiveness of several dental courses.
Initial meeting
We get to know your company and the people behind it and identify what makes your practice unique.
Ideas development
Once aware of your company’s features and goals, we present the creative approach for your idea through professional scripting and storyboards.
Filming & editing
With a clear plan, we film your project and bring the creative elements to life, on time and within budget.
Distribution
Next up, we help you distribute your videos, and provide ongoing support to ensure they run smoothly.
Firstly, dental training videos increase the accessibility of a course. Attending in-person seminars is costly, specially if the attendee is not from the city where the course takes place. Many people may not be able to afford the required expenses and therefore, decide not to go. Besides, in an in-person event, there are capacity limitations. Producing a video rather than organising an in-person course is a great way to educate larger audiences.
In addition, a recent study from SAVO found that an average employee forgets 65% of the materials covered in an in-person course in 7 days. This percentage is reduced when the person can access the course later on. Thus, a dental training video is key to increase memorability. Lastly, these videos are long-lasting assets. They can be reused, helping brands save time and money.
During pre-production, we advise you on the best video style for your brand. But, despite our preferences, the client is the one that decides which style to apply. There exist many video styles, the main difference between them being how they engage your learners. A commonly used style is the explainer video. But other popular styles include talking-head interviews, animated videos, or video tutorials.
These are the steps we follow when we produce a dental training video:
Once the video has been produced and distributed, it is time to evaluate its effectiveness. Check the video analytics and look at metrics such as the play rate or the engagement rate to assess how attractive and engaging the video content has been. Then, prepare and send out surveys to know how much viewers have learned with the course. Lastly, send out feedback forms to ask attendees for recommendations and improvements.
